Lygia is an accomplished director with a diverse portfolio spanning TV series and documentaries. Her work includes Chasing Che, Motorcycle Journey, Across the Amazon, Secret Brazil (NatGeo Channel), and Zapping Zone (Disney Channel). She also served as executive producer and director of Laerte-se, the first Brazilian original documentary for Netflix.
Lygia directed and produced Haenyeo: Wisdom of the Sea (NatGeo/TV Cultura), a project sponsored by KOCCA (Korean Content and Creative Agency), as well as Temple Flavours, the Simplicity of Healing. She also filmed two seasons of the TV series Mar Brasil along Brazil’s coast, and the documentary Wallace, the Great Journey, sponsored by KCA in co-production with Kim Hyuk Jin.
Untenable Pantanal, was also a co-production with Korean partners and won several prizes worldwide.
Currently, Lygia is focused on directing Fisher’s Voice, continuing her commitment to impactful storytelling and innovative documentary filmmaking.
